It's been awhile since I've posted.   I've moved to Uruguay, and I have settled into life here.  I'm painting again, and I'm working on a memoir/fiction book loosely based on my mother's family stories.

I have been researching Jewish symbols throughout history as a base for a new series.  I have also been collecting ballet images to be able to paint a new series portraying the dancers of the Ballets Russes era and dancers around the world today.  And I'm experimenting with whimsical illustration styles reminiscent of Ludwig Bemelmans, Laurent de Brunhoff, and Roger Duvoisin, as well as current Japanese and European artists.

​And I'm fascinated by some of the more figurative cubist pieces of Picasso and I'm still drawn to the color, form,  and movement in Matisse.
